In a graphic Instagram posting<\/a> on Sunday, French actor Judith Chemla displayed photos in support of her allegations that she had been the victim of domestic abuse. She did not name her abuser directly, referring to an earlier incident in which she was abused at the hands of director Yohan Manca.<\/p>\r\n

The 34-year-old actor had earlier been in a relationship with Manca, the father of her daughter. According to Deadline<\/em><\/a>, the director had been slapped with an eight-month prison sentence for domestic violence, but the sentence was suspended. Chemla had filed a complaint with French police after he threw a mobile phone at her in the street.<\/p>\r\n

Accompanying the Instagram photos, which depict Chemla\u2019s swollen, bruised face, was a message in French describing the incident: “A year ago my face was injured, blue, purple under my eye, I saw myself deformed. A year ago I looked at my face in the mirror and I knew that I could no longer hide my face. My daughter’s father. Those who are able to do that must be out of harm’s way. But how? I am not ashamed of this photo,” she wrote.<\/p>\r\n

Continuing with her posting, Chemla wrote, \u201cI have so much evidence that he continues to try and harm me\u2026 What must it take for him to leave me alone? \u2026 \u00a0I can\u2019t stand it anymore. I demand peace. Is it clearer like this?\u201d<\/p>\r\n

The actress also expressed her frustration by having to file two complaints against her abuser. \u201cShould I go back to the police a third time?
