A beloved A.A. Milne\u2019s original book \u201cWinnie the Pooh<\/a>\u201d stories entered into the public domain five months ago, and now, a cuddly and cubby teddy bear has already made into a horror film.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Titled, \u201cWinnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey”\u00a0<\/strong>wrapped their production this month, but their still photos show an evil looking Pooh and Piglet about to attack on a scantily-clad young woman in a hot tub have already set the internet on fire.<\/p>\n

It looks like the movie centers on a killer wearing a Winnie the Pooh mask or could be a man-bear hybrid. A menacing version of Piglet also appears in these first look images, so expect a full-on perversion of the classic tale.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And now, according to Director Rhys Waterfield, who is currently in post-production, revealed more details to Variety<\/a>, \u201cBecause of all the press and stuff, we\u2019re just going to start expediting the edit and getting it through post production as fast as we can,\u201d said Waterfield. \u201cBut also, making sure it\u2019s still good.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s gonna be a high priority, \u201cWinnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey\u201d will see Pooh and Piglet as the main villains\u2026going on a rampage after being abandoned by a college-bound Christopher Robin.<\/p>\n

Christopher Robin is pulled away from them, and he\u2019s not [given] them food, it\u2019s made Pooh and Piglet\u2019s life quite difficult. Because they\u2019ve had to fend for themselves so much, they\u2019ve essentially become feral,\u201d Waterfield continued.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo they\u2019ve gone back to their animal roots. They\u2019re no longer tame: they\u2019re like a vicious bear and pig who want to go around and try and find prey.\u201d<\/p>\n

The film was shot in 10 days in England, not far from Ashdown Forest, the inspiration for Milne\u2019s imaginary Hundred Acre Wood in the \u201cWinnie the Pooh\u201d stories. The film was made by Jagged Edge Productions, and will be in the theater sometime later this year.<\/p>\n
