Details of a plot have not been disclosed. When the project initially coming along, the Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyong\u2019o was announced to star, but Woo had updated back in 2019 that Nyong\u2019o was off the project and the script was being reworked.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Woo returns to direct the pic announced earlier this year as one of three Universal originals set to debut on Peacock in 2023. He will also produce alongside his longtime associate Lori Tilkin, with whom he developed the project.<\/p>\n<p>The screenplay was written by Matthew Stuecken and Josh Campbell (<i>1<strong>0 Cloverfield Lane<\/strong><\/i>), as well as Eran Creevy (<strong><i>Welcome to the Punch<\/i><\/strong>, <strong><i>Collide<\/i><\/strong>) and Brian Helgeland (<strong><i>42<\/i><\/strong>, <strong><i>Legend<\/i>)<\/strong>.\u00a0Universal Pictures\u2019 Senior Vice President of Production Development Sara Scott and Creative Development Executive Jacqueline Garell are overseeing the project on behalf of the studio.<\/p>\n<p>A French actor Sy who got an international fame with his performance in <strong><i>The Intouchables<\/i><\/strong>, which led him to become the first Black actor to win the C\u00e9sar for Best Actor.\u00a0He currently stars in Netflix\u2019s<strong><i> Lupin<\/i><\/strong>, one of the streamer\u2019s most watched non-English language series, which has been renewed for a third installment.
