As Jeevan (Himesh Patel) wanders a desolate Chicago with the young Kirsten (Matilda Lawler) in tow shortly after the outbreak, an older Kirsten (Mackenzie Davis) acts as part of the Traveling Symphony, a theater troupe that performs across the country, twenty years later. The show slowly fills in the gaps between year one and year twenty over the course of its captivating ten episodes.<\/p>\n

I had the chance to speak with Patel, who earned an Emmy nomination for his performance, about what spoke to him in the material, making a show about a pandemic during a pandemic, and what it was like to work opposite the very talented Lawler.<\/p>\n
