Hollywood Foreign Press Association has announced the nominations for the 80th Annual Golden Globe Awards this morning by presenters George and Mayan Lopex.<\/p>\n
NBC Canceled\u00a0the 2022 telecast amid an ethics, finance and diversity scandal involving the H.F.P.A. But\u00a0Ccting extensive H.F.P.A. reforms, NBC in September agreed to return the ceremony to its air for an 80th installment.<\/p>\n
For the film nominations, \u201cThe Banshees of Inisherin\u201d garnered with eight nominations, followed by \u201cEverything Everywhere All at Once\u201d with six, \u201cBabylon\u201d & \u201cThe Fablemans\u201d with five along with \u201cElvis,\u201d \u201cGuillermo del Toro\u2019s Pinocchio\u201d and \u201cT\u00e1r\u201d with three.<\/p>\n
for the TV nominations, \u201cPam and Tommy,\u201d \u201cThe White Lotus\u201d and \u201cMonster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story\u201d topped the list with four each, followed by \u201cOnly Murders in the Building,\u201d \u201cOzark,\u201d \u201cBlack Bird,\u201d \u201cThe Crown\u201d and \u201cAbbott Elementary\u201d all with three each. More recently, Brendan Fraser\u00a0who has received rave reviews for his performance as a morbidly obese man in \u201cThe Whale,\u201d said that he would not attend the ceremony if nominated. In 2018, Fraser accused a then-member of the H.F.P.A. of groping him in 2003, which the member denied.<\/p>\n
