Paramount Pictures has released an incredible featurette which takes you behind the scenes of “Mission: Impossible \u2013 Dead Reckoning Part One<\/strong>.” The featurette follows star Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie through the steps of the biggest stunt in cinema history.<\/p>\n

The featurette involves Cruise parachuting out of a helicopter, then driving a motorcycle off a cliff, into a base jump.<\/p>\n

The footage takes the audience through the steps of Cruise\u2019s training for his stunt, in which he worked with experts and stunt performers in each of the sequences.<\/p>\n

To get the OK shots for the film, Cruise did the stunt six times over the course of a day, McQuarrie talked in the video that Mission: Impossible\u00a0tends to start production with their biggest stunt, which means that Cruise was coming into it after whatever break he got between movies.<\/p>\n

Cruise is also joined by co-stars Simon Pegg and Vanessa Kirby among others. Tackling this film was complicated because it wasn\u2019t just by elaborate stunt work, but also by the COVID-19 pandemic. But in the end, Cruise managed to control the sailing.<\/p>\n

The new stunt was created for the long-awaited film, which is set to be released to theaters on July 14, 2023.<\/p>\n
