In Fraser\u2019s opinion, the film was \u201cgreat.\u201d <br \/><br \/>Continuing with the interview, Fraser heaped praise on directors Adil El Arbi and Bidall Fallah of <em><strong>Bad Boys<\/strong> <\/em>fame, who he said \u201care really good at blowing shit up and they love doing it. You know, like practical fire effects making stuff go bang, they\u2019re all over it, and so Firefly is right in their wheelhouse. Gotham never looked better cast as Glasgow, Scotland. You know it\u2019s adecaying and just gorgeous. It looks like it\u2019s Gotham City. It\u2019s perfectly cast. You believe it no matter where you look at the town, if you light it the right way.\u201d<br \/><br \/>Fraser went on to lament the film\u2019s cancellation, saying he \u201crelished\u201d the role of a disgruntled veteran who was determined to get back at a system that was denying his hard-won benefits. \u201cWhat else is he gonna do but burn it to the ground?\u201d he declared. \u201cThat\u2019s a supervillain right there. You\u2019ve got some sympathy for him. You\u2019ve also got some humanity to him and on top of that a screw loose cause you know he\u2019s the bad guy.\u201d<br \/><br \/>The 54-year-old American-Canadian actor admitted he hadn\u2019t seen the film, but he had friends and coworkers who saw it and attested to its good quality. \u201cIt was a director\u2019s cut, first cut,\u201d he says, suggesting that fact might have played a role in the decision to shelve it by Warner Brothers bigwigs who declared it \u201cirredeemable.\u201d <br \/><br \/>DC Studios co-chief Peter Safran was quoted as saying the \u201cvery bold and courageous decision\u201d was made to cancel <em><strong>Batgirl<\/strong> <\/em>because the film \u201c would have hurt DC. It would have hurt those people involved.\u201d<br \/><br \/>Fraser lamented, \u201cIt wasn\u2019t finished. I don\u2019t know about you, but I don\u2019t eat half-baked cake. I don\u2019t want to see something that\u2019s not ready yet. The sad thing is that I don\u2019t know if it was judged on merit.
