But a carefully selected lineup featuring a variety of innovative films around the globe.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>From a timely documentary about the war in Ukraine to a variety of dramas, the eclectic collection of films had something for everyone.<\/p>\n<p>At last year\u2019s festival, Carla Simon\u2019s Spanish Drama \u201c<strong>Alcarras<\/strong>\u201d won the coveted Golden Bear. Several of the biggest names in global cinema also walked away with big prizes, as Claire Denis won the Silver Bear for Best Director for \u201c<strong>Both Sides of the Blade<\/strong>\u201d and Hong Sang-soo won the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize for \u201c<strong>The Novelist\u2019s Film<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s jury gave the Golden Bear award to the French documentary \u201c<strong>On the Adamant<\/strong>.\u201d Stewart praised the film for expanding the jury\u2019s understanding of what constitutes art.<\/p>\n<div style=\"position:absolute;left:-99195px;\"> online pharmacy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pearsonchiropractic.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/png\/orlistat.html\">orlistat over the counter<\/a> with best prices today in the USA <\/div>\n<p> The Silver Bear for Best Director went to Philippe Garrel for \u201c<strong>The Plough<\/strong>,\u201d while the Silver Bear for Best Lead Performance notably went to child star Sofia Otero for \u201c<strong>20,000 Species of Bees<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For Philibert\u2019s eleventh feature, \u201c<i><strong>On the Adamant<\/strong>,\u201d <\/i>the 72-year-old Philibert spent months aboard a barge anchored on the Seine in Paris, chronicling a mental health care facility that caters specifically to its patients\u2019 creative needs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t like partitions or labels,\u201d Philibert said, \u201cin this film on psychiatry we were always [careful] to not always distinguish very clearly between patients and carers. I tried to reverse the image we always have of mad people [which I see] as discriminating and stigmatizing.
