The infamous quote from J. Robert Oppenheimer, \u201cNow I am become death, destroyer of worlds,\u201d which is documented in Christopher Nolan\u2019s latest war biopic, prepares to hit screens in July 2023.<\/p>\n

In the 1940s during World War II when Oppenheimer, a nuclear physicist, was appointed as the director of “The Manhattan Project,” where he led a team of scientists to work on and develop the atomic bomb.<\/p>\n

The man is called, \u201cThe Father of Atomic Bomb\u201d and his team\u2019s success in developing the weapon would give the US the edge in WWII, and it paved the way for their post-war power and what was to follow in the Cold War with the USSR.<\/p>\n

The role of Oppenheimer marks 4th collaboration between Murphy and Nolan\u2014after appearing in \u201cDunkirk,\u201d \u201cInception,\u201d and \u201cBatman Begins,\u201d Murphy addressed his role\u00a0in Variety last year <\/a>saying, \u201c[I prepped by doing] an awful lot of reading… I\u2019m interested in the man and what [inventing the atomic bomb] does to the individual.
