The action-adventure flick received three nominations at the 95th Academy Awards, which takes place on Mar. 12. Now, filming on Matt Reeves\u2019 highly anticipated sequel to last year\u2019s film is set to kick off on November 23rd.<\/p>\n<p>That news was revealed from an executive producer Michael Uslan who revealed it in an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CpeTkA6gp9E\/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y%3D\">Instagram post<\/a> Yesterday. Uslan has also worked on several Batman-related projects in the past including \u201c<strong>Joker<\/strong>,\u201d \u201c<strong>The Dark Knight<\/strong>\u201d and Reeves\u2019 \u201c<strong>The Batman<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The post, which featured a logo from the original &#8220;<strong><i>The Batman&#8221;\u00a0<\/i><\/strong>movie, was met with excitement from fans hoping to see the long-awaited DC tentpole. Uslan, who is a film rights holder with the late Benjamin Melniker&#8217;s estate. has executive producer credits on various Warner Bros.-produced <i>Batman<\/i> projects including Tim Burton&#8217;s eponymous 1989 movie.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Details about the new film remain unknown except Robert Pattinson once again protecting the streets of Gotham City. The first film did hint at the Joker, whilst a highly viewed deleted scene online showcased actor Barry Keoghan offering an interpretation of that role.<\/p>\n<p>Other likely returnees include Jeffrey Wright as GCPD\u2019s James Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot\/The Penguin.
