The actor has several other prestigious awards under his belt, including those from the National Society of Film Critics and the Boston Film Critics Circle. In 2019, Nishijima garnered a best supporting actor nomination at the Japanese Academy Awards for his role in <em><strong>Samurai\u2019s Promise<\/strong><\/em>.<br \/><br \/>Other films in which Nishijima has appeared include <em><strong>Shin Ultraman <\/strong><\/em>by Shinji Higuchi<em><strong>,\u00a0<\/strong><\/em> <em><strong>Dolls<\/strong> <\/em>by Kitano Takeshi, and <em><strong>License to Live<\/strong><\/em> by Kiyoshi Kurosawa. In 2022, he played the role of Kotoro Minami in<em><strong> Kamen Rider Black Sun<\/strong><\/em>. He also has a number of television credits to his name, including <em>General Rouge No Gaisen, Strawberry Night, Yae\u2019s Sakura<\/em>, and <em>Mozu<\/em>. He first came to public attention in 1993 for his portrayal of a gay character in the popular television series<em> Asunaro Hakusho<\/em>. The versatile actor also contributed his voice to several films, including dubbing for Colin Farrell in <em><strong>Dumbo<\/strong><\/em>. In 2017, Nishijima modeled for Giorgio Armani\u2019s Made-to-Measure collection, the first Japanese man to do so.<br \/><br \/>His next project is Apple TV+\u2019s dark comedy series <em><strong>Sunny<\/strong><\/em>, where he will star with Rashid Jones. He\u2019s also starring in <em><strong>Kubi<\/strong><\/em>, a film directed by Kitano Takeshi that will have its premiere next month at the Cannes Film Festival.<br \/><br \/>Creative Artists Agency (CAA) was founded in 1975.
