The fabulous four would be back again, the story is gonna be thrilling to \u201cSex and the City<\/strong>\u201d fans that Kim Cattrall will reprise her iconic role as Samantha Jones in the Season 2 finale of \u201cAnd Just Like That<\/strong>,\u201d Max\u2019s revival of HBO\u2019s \u201cSex and the City.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n

So far the audience has been so vocal about catching a glimpse of the beloved, empowered publicist who put the \u201csex\u201d in the groundbreaking series that ran on HBO for six seasons from 1998 to 2004, and led to two movies.<\/p>\n

But this time, she will only appear in one scene.<\/p>\n

According to sources, Cattrall shot her dialogue on March 22 in New York City, without seeing or speaking with the stars of the series, including Sarah Jessica Parker, or with \u201cAnd Just Like That<\/strong>\u201d showrunner Michael Patrick King.<\/p>\n

In the scene, Samantha, who in the show has moved to London, will have a phone conversation with Parker\u2019s Carrie Bradshaw.<\/p>\n

In the first season of \u201cAnd Just Like That<\/strong>,\u201d Carrie engaged with an estranged Samantha over text, and in the finale, the two made a plan to see each other in order to reconcile. And famed \u201cSex and the City<\/strong>\u201d costume designer Patricia Field, who has not been working on \u201cAnd Just Like That<\/strong>,\u201d dressed Samantha for this very special scene.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Cattrall\u2019s decision to step away from Samantha led to a public fallout with Parker. When King and Parker rebooted \u201cSex and the City<\/strong>\u201d as a new series for what was then HBO Max in 2021, Cattrall wasn\u2019t approached to reprise Samantha, and the new show added other characters \u2014 to mixed reviews.<\/p>\n

As they were doing press last year, both Parker and King said that they couldn\u2019t fathom a scenario in which Cattrall would play Samantha again.<\/p>\n

Cattrall is currently starring in Lionsgate film \u201cAbout My Father<\/strong>\u201d with Robert De Niro. She\u2019ll next play a makeup mogul in the Netflix drama \u201cGlamorous<\/strong>,\u201d which premieres on June 22.<\/p>\n

The second season of \u201cAnd Just Like That<\/strong>\u201d also premieres on June 22, but Cattrall\u2019s scene as Samantha won\u2019t air until August.<\/p>\n
