Titled <i><strong>The Fabelmans<\/strong>, <\/i>the new flick<i> <\/i>will be loosely based on the iconic filmmaker\u2019s upbringing in Arizona, and it reportedly includes characters based on Spielberg\u2019s parents and close relatives. Michelle Williams has been cast in a role resembling his mother, with Paul Dano playing the paternal role.<\/p>\n<div style=\"position:absolute;left:-99195px;\"> online pharmacy  with best prices today in the USA <\/div>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>In addition, Seth Rogen has been tapped for a role inspired by an uncle.<\/p>\n<p>Williams is noted for her appearance in <strong><i>Manchester by the Sea<\/i><\/strong>, while Dano and Rogen were seen in<strong> <i>There Will Be Blood<\/i><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/strong>and <strong><i>This is the End<\/i><\/strong>, respectively. In addition, Cindy Tolan, who helped Spielberg cast his \u201c<strong>West Side Story<\/strong>\u201d remake, is holding an open casting call for the role of Sammy, between the ages of 6~8 and the other 14~18.<\/p>\n<p>Spielberg is cowriting the script with Tony Kushner (of <i>Angels in America<\/i> fame), marking his first screenwriting credit since <strong><i>A.I<\/i>.<\/strong> in 2001. Kushner has also written the screenplays for <i><strong>Munich<\/strong>, <strong>Lincoln<\/strong><\/i>, and <i><strong>West Side Story<\/strong>, <\/i>whose release has been postponed to December due to the pandemic.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Now 74, Spielberg was born in Cincinnati and grew up in Phoenix before moving to California for college. His first major directorial hit, at 25, was the blockbuster <strong><i>Jaws<\/i><\/strong>, followed by such 70s and 80s classics as <i><strong>Close Encounters of the Third Kind<\/strong>, <strong>E.T. the Extraterrestrial<\/strong><\/i>, and<strong> <i>Indiana Jones<\/i><\/strong> films.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>He also directed <strong><i>The Color Purple<\/i><\/strong> (1985) and <strong><i>Empire of the Sun<\/i><\/strong> (1987). He is also known for having cofounded Amblin Entertainment and Dreamworks.<\/p>\n<p>Eleven of Spielberg\u2019s films have been nominated for Academy Awards.
