{"id":18620,"date":"2023-08-25T15:03:16","date_gmt":"2023-08-25T19:03:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=18620"},"modified":"2023-08-25T22:00:31","modified_gmt":"2023-08-26T02:00:31","slug":"straw-hats-unite-pirates-on-the-pier-a-one-piece-fan-celebration-and-inaki-godoy-meets-eiichiro-oda-for-the-first-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=18620","title":{"rendered":"Straw Hats Unite: Pirates on the Pier &#8211; A ONE PIECE Fan Celebration and I\u00f1aki Godoy Meets Eiichir\u00f4 Oda For the First Time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thursday, August 24, 2023 at the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California, Netflix hosted the first of ten global fan celebrations for the live action adaptation of the world&#8217;s most legendary and popular manga series in history, &#8220;<strong>ONE PIECE<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>More than 2,500 attendees arrived dressed as their favorite characters from &#8220;<strong>ONE PIECE<\/strong>,&#8221;\u00a0took pictures on the Going Merry and had private access to rides and games at the Pier before a first look screening of episode 101.<\/p>\n<p>After the screening, the iconic Santa Monica Pier Ferris Wheel was lit up as the Jolly Roger and fans in attendance were treated to a surprise epic &#8220;<strong>ONE PIECE<\/strong>&#8220;-inspired drone performance.<\/p>\n<p>Based on Japan\u2019s highest-selling manga series in history by Eiichiro Oda, &#8220;<strong>ONE PIECE<\/strong>&#8221; is a legendary high-seas adventure unlike any other. Monkey D. Luffy is a young adventurer who has longed for a life of freedom since he can remember. Luffy sets off from his small village on a perilous journey to find the legendary fabled treasure, ONE PIECE, to become King of the Pirates! But in order to find the ultimate prize, Luffy will need to assemble the crew he\u2019s always wanted before finding a ship to sail, searching every inch of the vast blue seas, outpacing the Marines, and outwitting dangerous rivals at every turn.<\/p>\n<p>Starring I\u00f1aki Godoy as Monkey D. Luffy, Mackenyu as Roronoa Zoro, Emily Rudd as Nami, Jacob Romero as Usopp, and Taz Skylar as Sanji, &#8220;<strong>ONE PIECE<\/strong>&#8221; is a live action pirate adventure created in partnership with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios and Netflix. Matt Owens and Steven Maeda are writers, executive producers, and showrunners. Eiichiro Oda, Marty Adelstein, and Becky Clements also executive produce. Additional cast includes Vincent Regan, Ilia Isorel\u00fds Paulino, Morgan Davies, Aidan Scott, Langley Kirkwood, Jeff Ward, Celeste Loots, Alexander Maniatis, McKinley Belcher III, Craig Fairbrass, Steven Ward, Chioma Umeala, and Michael Dorman.<\/p>\n<p>It will set sail <b>August 31<\/b>, only on Netflix.<\/p>\n<p>Those are the pictures of Fan Event.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" He also does production interviews for Japanese distributors of American films and for in-theater on-sale programs.
