Data was released only for the first two episodes.<br \/><br \/>Viewing data notwithstanding, <em><strong>The Idol<\/strong><\/em> seemed star-crossed from the beginning. In addition to the turmoil in the wake of Amy Seimetz\u2019s departure, the show was lambasted by <em>Rolling Stone<\/em> for allegedly being a toxic workplace. Reviews were less than enthusiastic, with a <em>Variety<\/em> reviewer using the phrase \u201csordid male fantasy\u201d to describe the series.
