Writer-director Rebecca Miller, whose past films include Maggie\u2019s Plan<\/em><\/strong>, The Private Lives of Pippa Lee<\/em><\/strong>, The Ballad of Jack and Rose<\/em><\/strong>, and Personal Velocity<\/em><\/strong>, returns with her latest film, She Came to Me<\/em><\/strong>. A man writing an opera finds himself experiencing severe writer\u2019s block until he meets an unexpected source of inspiration, which helps him professionally but threatens to ruin his most stable real-life relationship in this ensemble drama tinged with humor.<\/p>\n

I had the chance to speak with Miller about how she came to write the story and to find the right actors to play each part, as well as her focus on music, working with composer Bryce Dessner and legendary musician Bruce Springsteen.<\/p>\n

Just weeks before the deadline for his latest commission, composer Steven Lauddem (Golden Globe\u00ae winner Peter Dinklage) has lost the creative spark that brought him international acclaim.<\/p>\n
