Also appearing in the cast will be Andrew Garfield as Doctor Frankenstein and Oscar Isaac as the monster he created, and Christoph Waltz in a yet-to-be-disclosed role. It\u2019s not yet known whether the film would be a period piece or whether it would have a contemporary setting.<br \/><br \/>Guillermo del Toro\u2019s directorial projects have included Hellboy, Blade 2, and The Shape of Water. The 59-year-old Mexican director has been quoted as saying: \u201cI\u2019m doing <em><strong>Frankenstein<\/strong><\/em>. We\u2019re working on it. We start shooting in February, and it\u2019s a movie I have been wanting to do for 50 years since I saw the first Frankenstein. I had an epiphany, and it\u2019s basically a movie that required a lot of growth and a lot of tools that I couldn\u2019t have done 10 years ago. Now I\u2019m brave or crazy enough or something, and we\u2019re gonna tackle it.
