From the creator of “Dragon Ball<\/strong><\/a>,” Akira Toriyama<\/a> has a new Japanese anime, “Sand Land: The Series”<\/strong> which\u00a0<\/i>will be adding to Hulu’s library of anime show in spring 2024.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The series based on a renowned manga artist, Akira Toriyama’s manga series of the same name, “Sand Land<\/strong>“<\/i> recently received a big screen treatment and graced Japanese cinemas on August 18 of this year. Now, the upcoming Hulu original series is set to reimagine and expand the “Sand Land<\/strong>“<\/i> universe and introduce to the American audiences.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The show will create out of the original universe with new stories featuring Fiend Prince Beelzebub, Sheriff Rao and Thief. “Sand Land: The Series<\/strong>” is set in a world where the water supply is all but dried up, with the small amount remaining controlled by a greedy king. Tired of suffering under the king\u2019s rule, Sheriff Rao reaches out to Sand Land\u2019s demons for help, and together they set off on a journey to discover the \u201cLegendary Spring.\u201d<\/p>\n

Starring Mutsumi Tamura as the voice of the Fiend Prince Beelzebub, Kazuhiro Yamaji as the voice of Rao, Ch\u014d as the voice of Thief, Satoshi Tsuruoka as the voice of General Are and Nobuo Tobita as Supreme Commander Zeu.<\/p>\n

“Sand Land : <\/strong><\/span>The Series”<\/strong> is directed by Toshihisa Yokoshima and is adapted for the screenl by Hayashi Mori. “Sand Land: The Series<\/strong>” is a collaboration between anime studios Sunrise (Mobile Suit Gundam, Love Live! Series), Kamikaze Douga (Pop Team Epic, JoJo\u2019s Bizarre Adventure title sequence) and ANIMA, which specializes in 3D CG animation.<\/p>\n

Hulu will be spotlighting “Sand Land: The Series<\/strong>,” as well as several of its most popular anime titles \u2014 including Hulu Originals “Undead Unluck<\/strong>” and “Tokyo Revengers<\/strong>,” as well as “Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War<\/strong>” at this weekend\u2019s\u00a0Anime NYC<\/b><\/a>\u00a0convention.<\/p>\n
