John Campea<\/a> posted the following this week: \u201cWhat [Campea\u2019s source] confirmed to me is [Marvel] has talked to Mads Mikkelsen [about] Doom. Now, to be clear, I\u2019m sure they talked to a dozen people. They did not tell me that Mads Mikkelsen has been cast as Doom. Not at all. But they were able to confirm to me that Mads Mikkelsen is one of the people they talked to for Doom.\u201d<\/p>\r\nMikkelsen achieved global recognition in 2006 when he played the role of Le Chiffre in the James Bond film, “Casino Royale<\/strong><\/em>.” He appeared as Dr Hannibal Lecter in the TV series Hannibal<\/em> and later played villainous characters in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore and\u00a0“Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny<\/strong><\/em>.” The actor already has a track record with Marvel, having appeared in several of the studio\u2019s films. In 2018, he played Kaecilius, the lead villain in “Doctor Strange<\/strong><\/em>.”<\/p>\r\nThus far, Marvel has not announced its roster for the upcoming “Fantastic Four”<\/strong><\/em> film, but insiders are betting that Pedro Pascal will be playing the role of Mr. Fantastic\/Reed Richards. Pascal had earlier thrilled audiences with his performances in “The Last of Us”\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>and “The Mandalorian<\/strong><\/em>.” According to the rumor mill, other actors being considered for parts include Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Javier Barden, Vanessa Kirby, and Joseph Quinn.<\/p>\r\n“Fantastic Four”\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>is being directed by WandaVision showrunner Matt Shakman from a screenplay by Josh Friedman. The original screenwriters were Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer.
