Synopsis<\/strong> : This 10-episode drama series focuses on the Monarch, a special agency that appears in Monster Verse films. Mari Yamamoto\u00a0plays Keiko, a Japanese scientist who went to the U.S. in the 1950s to study radiation and its effects, and is one of the founding members of “Monarch. Keiko is also the\u00a0grandmother of the series\u2019 2015-timeline protagonists Kentaro(Ren Watanabe<\/a>) and Cate Randa(Anna Sawai<\/a>), who, in discovering their grandparents\u2019 work, draw the attention of the organization decades later.<\/p>\n

The strength in Keiko is particularly evident during her initial interactions with a young Lee Shaw (Wyatt Russell), who’s set to be her military escort in the Philippines, but severely underestimates her ability, not even initially believing she’s the scientist he’s supposed to meet up with. Complicated, but intriguing women in Monarch: Legacy of Monsters <\/em>also extended to Kiersey Clemons’ May, where the audience is trying to navigate her intentions, as a particularly secretive character in the story. But much more became clear in Episode 7 of the series, where she confesses her true identity,<\/p>\n

Mari Yamamoto is a\u00a0Japanese actress who is also a writer and movie producer. Born in Meguro, Tokyo, Japan she also does the voiceover for some Japanese anime, video games, and audio dramas. The beautiful Japanese actress worked internationally and is an expert in two languages.<\/p>\n
