The film has a plenty of behind-the-scenes footage showcasing the man at work.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The film is an immersive deep dive into the creative process of a titular Italian filmmaker Dario Argento as he finishes writing the script for his last feature in a hotel as a film crew shoots a movie about him, revealing his profound impact on horror and his lasting influence on cinema.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Argento is now 83 years old and continues to make films &#8211; <strong><i>Dark Glasses<\/i><\/strong>\u00a0was out in 2022, and this film covers a bit of the making of that one. If you&#8217;ve never seen any of his films, it is always a good time to catch up with films like, <strong><i>Suspiria<\/i><\/strong>, or <strong><i>Inferno<\/i><\/strong>, or <strong><i>Deep Red<\/i><\/strong>, or <strong><i>Tenebrae<\/i><\/strong>.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The official synopsis reads as follows: \u201cIn the secluded ambiance of hotel rooms, Dario Argento crafted his greatest cinematic creations, seeking solace from the outside world to delve into his nightmares. Now, he finds himself in a hotel room to return to the very setting that ignited his creative fervor to conclude his latest script and participate in an intimate interview, all while being followed by a film crew documenting his life for a movie about his illustrious career.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>The Dario Argento series runs January 31 through February 8 at the IFC Center and will include <i>Suspiria<\/i> (1977), <i>Opera<\/i> (1987),<i> Deep Red<\/i> (1975), <i>Dario Argento Panico<\/i> (2024), The Cat o&#8217; Nine Tails(1971), <i>Dracula 3D<\/i> (2013), <i>The Bird with the Crystal Plumage<\/i> (1970), <i>Vortex<\/i> (2021) and <i>Four Flies on Grey Velvet<\/i> (1982). Shudder\u2019s VP of Programming, Sam Zimmerman previously had this to say about the film. Simone Scafidi\u2019s documentary <i>Dario Argento Panico <\/i>will arrive on Shudder on February 2.<span
