Actress Carla Gugino has been regularly working in film and television since the late 1980s. She has anchored numerous series over the years, including Karen Sisco, Threshold, Jett<\/em><\/strong>, and Leopard Skin<\/em><\/strong>, in addition to high-profile recurring roles on Entourage<\/em><\/strong> and Californication<\/em><\/strong>. Her latest part has earned her the very first Critics Choice nomination of her long and impressive career, for playing Verna, a version of Edgar Allan Poe\u2019s Raven, in The Fall of the House of Usher<\/em><\/strong>. \u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I had the chance to speak with Gugino about what appealed to her about this challenging and chameleon-like role, and what the filming process was like for her and her many scene partners. She also reflected on some of her favorite characters from the many she has played, and her upcoming role in\u00a0Lisa Frankenstein<\/strong><\/em>.<\/em><\/p>\n
