In a press release, the world premiere for <strong><em>No Sudden Move <\/em><\/strong>was set for an outdoor screening on June 18<sup>th<\/sup> at 8pm at The Battery in downtown Manhattan. The film is already slated to debut on HBO Max two weeks later on July 1<sup>st<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>No Sudden Move<\/em><\/strong> is set in 1950s Detroit and, per the film\u2019s official description, \u201ccenters on a group of small-time criminals who are hired to steal what they think is a simple document. When their plan goes horribly wrong, their search for who hired them weaves them through a race-torn, rapidly changing city.\u201d An all-star cast is led by Don Cheadle, Benicio Del Toro, David Harbour, Ray Liotta, and Jon Hamm.<\/p>\n<p>Fresh off producing the tepidly-received Academy Awards ceremony, Soderbergh is now seeing a more high-profile launch for this film than his previous project, <strong><em>Let Them All Talk<\/em><\/strong>, which premiered on HBO Max last December. Soderbergh got his start at the Sundance Film Festival thirty-two years with his first feature film, <strong><em>Sex, Lies, and Videotape<\/em><\/strong>. Since then, he has directed more than thirty films. He won an Oscar in 2000 for <strong><em>Traffic<\/em><\/strong>, and was also nominated against himself that year for <strong><em>Erin Brockovich<\/em><\/strong>.
