The two brothers had earlier worked on eighteen films together as writers, editors, producers, and directors, a list that includes <em><strong>The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, The Big Lebowski, Burn After Reading, Inside Llewyn Davis, O Brother Where Art Thou?, A Serious Man,<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>True Grit<\/strong><\/em>. The last time they did a film together was in 2016, when they made <em><strong>Hail, Caesar!<\/strong><\/em>, a tribute to the Golden Age of Hollywood. The pair have received numerous Oscar nominations but won statuettes only for <strong><em>Fargo<\/em> <\/strong>and <em><strong>No Country for Old Men<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\r\n<p>In the <em>Empire<\/em> article, <a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=Ethan+Coen\">Ethan Coen<\/a> and his wife Tricia Cooke also talked about their recently completed <em><strong>Drive-Away Dolls<\/strong><\/em>, which they co-wrote and which Ethan directed. The film stars Margaret Qualley and Geraldine Viswanathan and recounts the adventures of two lesbians who tangle with a bunch of crooks while on a motor trip to Florida. Also starring in the film, which debuts on February 23, are Beanie Feldstein, Colman Domingo, Pedro Pascal, Bill Camp, Joey Slotnick, and Matt Damon. Ethan and Tricia revealed that they plan do follow this up with another movie, which they describe as \u201ca more serious lesbian detective story.\u201d<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>In an earlier interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/ethan-coen-jerry-lee-lewis-2022-cannes-film-festival-eee40128d35627dfc855c755781d7af7\"><em>The AP<\/em><\/a>, Ethan had talked about their lifelong collaboration by saying: &#8220;You start out when you&#8217;re a kid and you want to make a movie. Everything&#8217;s enthusiasm and gung-ho, let&#8217;s go make a movie. And the first movie is just loads of fun. And then the second movie is loads of fun, almost as much as the first. And after 30 years, not that it&#8217;s no fun, but it&#8217;s more of a job than it had been&#8230;It was the experience of making a movie.
