{"id":21607,"date":"2024-01-22T16:22:41","date_gmt":"2024-01-22T21:22:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=21607"},"modified":"2024-01-22T16:22:41","modified_gmt":"2024-01-22T21:22:41","slug":"hit-man-teaser-netflix-starring-glen-powell-and-adria-arjona","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=21607","title":{"rendered":"Hit Man | Teaser | Netflix : Starring Glen Powell and Adria Arjona"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>@Photo by Courtesy of Netflix<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p1\">Netflix has dropped a new trailer for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/find\/?q=richard%20linklator&amp;ref_=nv_sr_sm\">Richard Linklator\u2019<\/a>s latest film, \u201c<strong>Hit Man&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0which is a new dark comedy that stars <a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=Glen+Powell\">Glen Powell<\/a> and gives a first look at one of the biggest crowd pleasers of the festival circuit.<span class=\"gmail-Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p1\">Based on the 2001 Texas Monthly magazine article of the same name by Skip Hollandsworth, \u201c<strong>Hit Man<\/strong>\u201d follows a Houston police associate (Powell) who disguises himself as an assassin in order to catch willing clients. After getting invested in saving one particular woman (<a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=Adria+Arjona\">Adria Arjona<\/a>) in an abusive relationship, hijinks ensue. The film also stars Austin Amelio, Retta and Molly Bernard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p1\">Powell captivated the audience through \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=Top+Gun%3A+Maverick\"><strong>Top Gun: Maverick<\/strong><\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=Anyone+but+You\"><strong>Anyone but You<\/strong><\/a>,\u201d he also collaborated with Richard Linklater and Skip Hollandsworth for the script.<span class=\"gmail-Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p1\">A Texas filmmaker, Richard Linklater is known for his work on films including the \u201c<strong>Before<\/strong>\u201d romance trilogy, and the Oscar nominated drama \u201c<strong>Boyhood<\/strong>,\u201d in which he explored themes relating to adolescence and aging. Linklater and Powell previously collaborated on the comedy \u201c<strong>Everybody Wants Some!!<\/strong>\u201d and the animated film \u201c<strong>Apollo 10 1\/2: A Space Childhood<\/strong>,\u201d also released on Netflix.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p1\">Alongside Powell and Arijona , the film also stars Austin Amelio as policeman Jasper, Retta and Sanjay Rao as two police officers Gary works for, and Evan Holtzman as Ray Masters, Maddy&#8217;s husband, with Molly Bernard and Mike Markoff also appearing in supporting roles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p1\">\u201c<strong>Hit Man<\/strong>\u201d is produced by Linklater, Michael Blizzard for Detour Pictures, Michael Costigan and Jason Bateman for Aggregate Films, and Powell with his production company BarnStorm Productions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>&#8220;<strong>Hit Man<\/strong>&#8220;<\/i> gained attention at the Venice Film Festival in last September, also went to other festival circuits, Toronto Film Festival, New York Film Festival and now, Sundance Film Festival.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p1\">It will be released on Netflix on June 7 in the U.S. and other select countries with a limited theatrical release
