Lionsgate\u2019s Highlander<\/em> <\/strong>reboot has gained some major star power in the form of Henry Cavill. The British actor is best known for playing Superman in Man of Steel<\/em><\/strong>, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice<\/em><\/strong>, and Justice League<\/em><\/strong>. He also stars in Netflix\u2019s TV series The Witche<\/strong>r<\/em> and its recent film Enola Holmes<\/em><\/strong>, along with Mission Impossible \u2013 Fallout<\/em><\/strong>. Details of who he will play in this project have yet to be revealed, but Deadline<\/a> reports that he is in talks for one of the lead roles in the film.<\/p>\n

The original Highlander<\/em> <\/strong>was released in 1986 and starred Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, and Clancy Brown. The story of an immortal Scottish warrior who can only die if he is beheaded was enormously successful, leading to multiple sequels and TV series.<\/p>\n
