That particular case was dismissed when a judge deemed that the accuser was prohibited from pursuing an anonymous lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018, the actor pleaded not guilty to having assaulted a teenaged boy on Nantucket, but the charges were dismissed when the alleged victim withdrew his lawsuit. The string of accusations against Spacey had begun the year before, when 20 young men reported Spacey had engaged in sexual misconduct with them in his role as artistic director of London\u2019s Old Vic.<\/p>\n<p>In the wake of these accusations, Spacey was yanked from his starring role in Netflix\u2019s <strong>House of Cards<\/strong>.
