Disney+<\/a> has dropped a new trailer and key art for Lucasfilm\u2019s new, original series \u201cStar Wars: The Acolyte”<\/strong>\u00a0is one of its most ambitious one\u2014a series that will bring a previously unexplored era to the small screen, and with it darkness, the series launches on Tuesday, June 4, with the first two episodes, exclusively on Disney+.<\/p>\n

In \u201cStar Wars:\u00a0The Acolyte<\/strong>,\u201d an investigation into a shocking crime spree pits a respected Jedi Master (Lee Jung-jae) against a dangerous warrior from his past (Amandla Stenberg). As more clues emerge, they travel down a dark path where sinister forces reveal all is not what it seems\u2026.<\/p>\n

The series stars Amandla Stenberg(“The Hate U Give<\/strong>,” “The Hunger Games<\/strong>“) , Lee Jung-jae(“The Squid Games<\/strong>,” “Hunt<\/strong>“, Manny Jacinto(“Belle<\/strong>,” “Top Gun :Marverick<\/strong>“), Dafne Keen(“Logan<\/strong>,” “Ana<\/strong>“), Charlie Barnett(“Men in Black 3<\/strong>, “Russian Doll<\/strong>“), Jodie Turner-Smith(“After Young<\/strong>,” “Sex Education<\/strong>“), Rebecca Henderson(“Russian Doll<\/strong>,” “Inventing Anna), <\/strong>Dean-Charles Chapman(“1917<\/strong>,” “Game of Thrones<\/strong>“), Joonas Suotamo(“Solo: Star Wars Story<\/strong>,” “Willow<\/strong>“), and Carrie-Anne Moss(“Memento<\/strong>,” “The Matrix<\/strong>“)<\/p>\n

Leslye Headland(“Bachelorrete<\/strong>,” “Russian Doll<\/strong>“) created the series, based on Star Wars by George Lucas, and serves as an executive producer along with Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King and Jason Micallef. Charmaine DeGrat\u00e9 and Kor Adana are the co-executive producers. Rayne Roberts, Damian Anderson, Eileen Shim and Rob Bredow are the producers.<\/p>\n

Headland also directed the premiere episodes (Eps. 101 & 102). Directors Kogonada (Eps. 103 & 107), Alex Garcia Lopez (Eps. 104 & 105) and Hanelle Culpepper (Eps. 106 & 108) round out the directing duties on the series.<\/p>\n

Award-winning composer Michael Abels, known for his work on \u201cGet Out<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cUs<\/strong>,\u201d scored\u00a0\u201cStar Wars:\u00a0The Acolyte<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n
