Lionsgate<\/a> and Kingdom Story Company have dropped a new trailer for KING & COUNTRY’s new movie Unsung Hero<\/strong>, a film that traces his family’s real-life move to the United States from Australia in the 1990s.<\/p>\n

Based on a remarkable true story,\u00a0Unsung\u00a0Hero\u00a0follows David Smallbone as he moves his family from Down Under to the States, searching for a brighter future after his successful music company collapses. With nothing more than their seven children, suitcases, and their love of music, David (for KING + COUNTRY\u2019s Joel Smallbone) and his pregnant wife Helen (Daisy Betts) set out to rebuild their lives. Helen\u2019s faith stands against all odds and inspires her husband and children to hold onto theirs. With their own dreams on hold, David and Helen begin to realize the musical prowess in their children, who would go on to become two of the most successful acts in Inspirational Music history: five-time GRAMMY Award\u00ae-winning artists for KING + COUNTRY and Rebecca St. James.<\/p>\n

Joel, who has released five albums with for KING + COUNTRY, brings Unsung Hero to the big screen as a cowriter and co-director as well as its lead actor. He collaborated with Richard Ramsey for the screenplay as well as directing. Luke, 37, also serves as a producer on the film with Justin Tolley and Josh Walsh (Jesus Revolution).<\/p>\n

In addition to Smallbone, the movie\u00a0also stars Kirrilee Berger, Jonathan Jackson, Lucas Black<\/a>, Candy Cameron Bure<\/a>, Terry O’Quinn and Hillary Scott.<\/p>\n
