{"id":22921,"date":"2024-04-09T00:33:12","date_gmt":"2024-04-09T04:33:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=22921"},"modified":"2024-04-11T10:35:35","modified_gmt":"2024-04-11T14:35:35","slug":"the-bruce-springsteen-project-to-star-jeremy-allen-white","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=22921","title":{"rendered":"20th Century Lands Bruce Springsteen Project to Star Jeremy Allen White"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Photo by Cliff Lipson &#8211; \u00a9\u00a0Copyright: Showtime 2013<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p2\">20<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Century and Disney have landed the star of the Bruce Springsteen project,\u00a0<strong><i>Deliver Me From Nowhere<\/i><\/strong>, which has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm2087739\/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_0_nm_8_q_jeremy%2520\">Jeremy Allen White<\/a>\u00a0to star as the Boss.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p2\">\u201c<strong>Crazy Heart<\/strong>\u201d director <a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=Scott+Cooper\">Scott Cooper<\/a> will tackle this feature based on the 2023 book\u00a0<i>Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen\u2019s Nebraska<\/i>\u00a0by Warren Zanes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p2\">Grappling with personal demons and trying to wrap his arms around becoming a global superstar, Springsteen wrote and recorded\u00a01982 album\u00a0<i>Nebraska,<\/i>\u00a0which is considered to be one the greatest albums of all time that rivals Joni Mitchell\u2019s\u00a0<i>Blue<\/i>\u00a0as one of the most emotionally raw, dark and honest albums in recent music history.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p2\">The Gotham Group\u2019s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein (<strong><i>The Maze Runner<\/i><\/strong> trilogy) and Eric Robinson are producing along with Cooper and Zanes. Scott Stuber\u00a0is also producing, marking the first project for the former Netflix film head since he left the streamer in March. Springsteen and his manager Jon Landau also participated in this project, giving the essential access to his music.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p2\">The project was initially coming together at A24 and was expected to be the distributor. But David Greenbaum and 20th head Steve Asbell are big Springsteen fans, so Greenbaum ended up winning the rights for the movie, which will shoot in the fall and get a global theatrical release before it finds its way through Disney\u2019s formidable pipelines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p2\">\u201cBruce Springsteen, and\u00a0<i>Nebraska<\/i>, in particular, have had a profound impact on me and my work,\u201d said Cooper in a statement, \u201cThrough themes of despair, disillusionment, and the struggles of everyday Americans, Bruce has formed an unparalleled legacy, painting an unflinching portrait of the human condition. Yet, amidst the darkness, a sense of resilience and a sense of hope shines through, reflecting an indomitable spirit. That\u2019s the Bruce I\u2019ve come to know and love and will honor with this film.\u201d \u201cWarren Zanes\u2019 wonderful telling of this chapter in Bruce\u2019s life is ripe for cinematic adaptation. This film has the potential to be a transformative cinematic experience, offering audiences a window into the soul of Bruce Springsteen and the universal truths that bind us all together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"gmail-p2\">Cooper, who last directed Christian Bale in period drama <strong><i>The Pale Blue Eye. <\/i><\/strong>White, who won an Emmy last fall for his performance in FX\u2019s The Bear, along with a highly acclaimed performance as late pro wrestler Kerry Von Erich in <strong><i>The Iron
