Titled <a href=\"https:\/\/m.imdb.com\/news\/ni64627023\/?ref_=nws_nwr_li\"><em><strong>35th Street<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, the movie will also be in the action\/horror genre.<br \/><br \/>Yeon will be directing the film and co-writing it with Ryu Yong-jae. No further information is available about plot details or release date. <em><strong>35th Street<\/strong><\/em> will be produced by Leonardo DiCaprio\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Appian_Way\">Appian Way<\/a> and WOW POINT. a global content production company based in Seoul that creates original local content for Korea, Japan, and the United States.<br \/><br \/><em><strong>Train to Busan<\/strong><\/em>, Yeon\u2019s first live-action film, grossed more than $98 million worldwide on an $8 million budget and established Yeon\u2019s reputation in the new Korean cinema. According to the official synopsis, the movie is \u201ca harrowing zombie horror-thriller that follows a group of terrified passengers fighting their way through a countrywide viral outbreak, trapped on a suspicion-filled, blood-drenched bullet train ride to the Safe Zone\u2026which may or may not still be there.&#8221;<\/p>\r\n<p><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\u00a0<br \/><br \/>After graduating from Sangmyung University with a degree in art, Yeon made a number of animated short films, including <em><strong>Megalomania of D<\/strong><\/em> (1997), <em><strong>D-Day<\/strong><\/em> (2000), and <em><strong>The Hell<\/strong> <\/em>(2002). He established his own production house, Studio Dadashow, in 2004. Before coming to global prominence with <em><strong>Train to Busan<\/strong><\/em>, Yeon had made two adult animated films, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt19818310\/\"><em><strong>The King of Pigs<\/strong> <\/em><\/a>(2011) and <em><strong>The Fake<\/strong><\/em> (2013), the former being the first Korean animation to be invited to the Cannes Film Festival. <br \/><br \/>In 2016, Yeon also created an animated prequel to <em><strong>Train to Busan<\/strong><\/em>, titled <em><strong>Seoul Station<\/strong><\/em>. A sequel titled <em><strong>Peninsula<\/strong> <\/em>was released in 2020 and became an official selection at Cannes that year, grossing $45 million. Yeon is also known for directing all six episodes of his TV series <em><strong>Hellbound<\/strong> <\/em>and the film <em><strong>Jung-E<\/strong><\/em>, which both achieved number-one status on Netflix.
