He also wrote the scripts for eight films, including the first two <em><strong>Toy Story<\/strong><\/em> animations.<br \/><br \/>Docter was quoted as saying that the \u201csurprising\u201d <em><strong>Toy Story 5<\/strong> <\/em>sequel is still two years away, with a release date set for June 19, 2026. Plans for the sequel had first been announced by Disney\u2019s Bob Iger early in 2023, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000741\/\">Tim Allen<\/a> set to reprise his role as Buzz Lightyear. It\u2019s still unconfirmed whether <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000158\/\">Tom Hanks<\/a> will be returning as Woody in the upcoming project.<br \/><br \/>Andrew Stanton has been with Pixar for more than 40 years. He also done several live-action features, including <em><strong>John Carter<\/strong><\/em> (2012) and\u00a0 <em><strong>In the Blink of an Eye<\/strong><\/em>, which will be released this fall.
