Set in the 1980s, the series follows a devoted daughter who competes with her peers and searches for her path in the world of women\u2019s professional wrestling, during a time when women strove to gain freedom through strength and challenged a male-dominated society.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm5738422\/?ref_=tt_cl_t_1\">Yuriyan Retriever<\/a>, who plays Dump Matsumoto, spent two years training to achieve a wrestler\u2019s physique and embody her role. Joining her are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm8284971\/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1\">Erika Karata<\/a> (Chigusa Nagayo) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm3897573\/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1\">Ayame Goriki<\/a> (Lioness Asuka), along with the following cast that were unveiled in the teaser:<\/p>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">The brothers who founded All Nippon Women\u2019s Pro Wrestling: Jun Murakami as Takashi Matsunaga,<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Daisuke Kuroda as Kunimatsu Matsunaga, and Takumi Saitoh as Toshikuni Matsunaga.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Takuma Otoo as<b> <\/b>Shiro Abe, the promoter and referee for the wrestling promotion.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Nobuko Sendo as Dump Matsumoto\u2019s mother, Satoko.<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Additionally, <b>24,000+<\/b> extras were assembled to recreate the enthusiasm of the wrestling venues and crowds of the 1980s.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"p1\">During production, real-life wrestlers Dump Matsumoto and Chigusa Nagayo served as pro-wrestling supervisors and witnessed the actresses\u2019 hard work. Matsumoto remarks, \u201cYuriyan\u2019s powerful performance is incredible.
