{"id":25603,"date":"2024-08-22T00:04:00","date_gmt":"2024-08-22T04:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=25603"},"modified":"2024-08-22T00:07:53","modified_gmt":"2024-08-22T04:07:53","slug":"the-killer-nathalie-emmanuel-omar-sy-interview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=25603","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;The Killer&#8217;: Nathalie Emmanuel, Omar Sy on John Woo\u2019s Return to His Action Classic (Video Interview)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Back in 1989, legendary Hong Kong filmmaker John Woo was coming off the back-to-back success of <\/span><b><i>A Better Tomorrow<\/i><\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and its sequel when he reteamed with Chow Yun-fat for <\/span><b><i>The Killer<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, a movie that helped both the Asian superstars to crossover and start making films in the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cut forward 35 years and Woo has returned to his famed crime action film \u2013 not to be confused with the recent David Fincher movie of the same name \u2013 this time starring Nathalie Emmanuel from the \u201cFast and Furious\u201d movies as an assassin known only as Zee, whose latest mission in Paris ends with a young singer being blinded when she\u2019s caught in a shootout, something which Zee regrets.
