Tolkien.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the direction of award-winning filmmaker <a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=Kenji+Kamiyama\">Kenji Kamiyama<\/a> (the \u201c<strong>Blade Runner: Black Lotus<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex<\/strong>\u201d TV series), the talented voice cast is led by Brian Cox (\u201c<strong>Succession<\/strong>\u201d) as Helm Hammerhand, the mighty King of Rohan; Gaia Wise (\u201c<strong>A Walk in the Woods<\/strong>\u201d) as his daughter H\u00e9ra; and\u00a0Luke Pasqualino\u00a0(\u201c<strong>Snowpiercer<\/strong>\u201d) as Wulf.\u00a0 Miranda Otto, who delivered an unforgettable, award-winning performance in \u201cThe Lord of the Rings\u201d Trilogy, reprises her role as \u00c9owyn, Shieldmaiden of Rohan, who serves as the tale\u2019s narrator.\u00a0 The voice ensemble also includes Lorraine Ashbourne (Netflix\u2019s \u201c<strong>Bridgerton<\/strong>\u201d), Yazdan Qafouri (\u201c<strong>I Came By<\/strong>\u201d), Benjamin Wainwright (\u201c<strong>World on Fire<\/strong>\u201d), Laurence Ubong Williams (\u201c<strong>Gateway<\/strong>\u201d), Shaun Dooley (\u201c<strong>The Witcher<\/strong>\u201d), Michael Wildman (\u201c<strong>Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs &amp; Shaw<\/strong>\u201d), Jude Akuwudike (\u201c<strong>Beasts of No Nation<\/strong>\u201d), Bilal Hasna (\u201c<strong>Sparks<\/strong>\u201d) and Janine Duvitski (\u201c<strong>Benidorm<\/strong>\u201d).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Set 183 years before the events chronicled in the original trilogy of films, \u201c<strong>The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim<\/strong>\u201d tells the fate of the House of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan.\u00a0 A sudden attack by Wulf, a clever and ruthless Dunlending lord seeking vengeance for the death of his father, forces Helm and his people to make a daring last stand in the ancient stronghold of the Hornburg\u2014a mighty fortress that will later come to be known as Helm\u2019s Deep.\u00a0 Finding herself in an increasingly desperate situation,\u00a0H\u00e9ra, the daughter of Helm, must summon the will to lead the resistance against a deadly enemy intent on their total destruction.<\/p>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With\u00a0Kamiyama at the helm, the original feature is being produced by Oscar winner Philippa Boyens, from the screenwriting team behind \u201c<strong>The Lord of the Rings<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>The Hobbit<\/strong>\u201d Trilogies, alongside Jason DeMarco and Joseph Chou, who, in addition to their many separate animation projects, collaborated on the \u201c<strong>Blade Runner: Black Lotus<\/strong>\u201d series. The executive producers are Fran Walsh, Peter Jackson, Sam Register, Carolyn Blackwood and Toby Emmerich.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The screenplay is by Jeffrey Addiss &amp; Will Matthews and Phoebe Gittins &amp; Arty Papageorgiou, story by Addiss &amp; Matthews and Boyens, based on characters created<em>\u00a0<\/em>by J.R.R. Tolkien. The team of creative collaborators returning from \u201c<strong>The Lord of the Rings<\/strong>\u201d Trilogy also includes Oscar winners Alan Lee and Richard Taylor, along with esteemed Tolkien illustrator John Howe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A New Line Cinema Presentation, a Warner Bros.
