BURBANK, Calif. (June 8, 2021) \u2013 20th Century Studios\u2019 \u201cRon\u2019s Gone Wrong,\u201d the first theatrical release from the U.K.-based CG animation studio Locksmith Animation, will open in theaters worldwide October 22, 2021. The animated comedy adventure, which stars Zach Galifianakis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Olivia Colman, Ed Helms and Justice Smith, is a touching and hilarious look at the budding friendship between a middle-school boy and his faulty robot.<\/b><\/p>\n

20th Century Studios and Locksmith Animation\u2019s \u201cRon\u2019s Gone Wrong\u201d is the story of Barney, a socially awkward middle-schooler and Ron, his new walking, talking, digitally-connected device, which is supposed to be his \u201cBest Friend Out of the Box.\u201d Ron\u2019s hilarious malfunctions, set against the backdrop of the social media age, launch them into an action-packed journey in which boy and robot come to terms with the wonderful messiness of true friendship. \u201cRon\u2019s Gone Wrong\u201d features the voices of Zach Galifianakis (\u201cA Wrinkle in Time\u201d), Jack Dylan Grazer (\u201cShazam!\u201d), Olivia Colman (\u201cThe Crown\u201d), Ed Helms (\u201cThe Office\u201d), Justice Smith (\u201cJurassic World: Fallen Kingdom\u201d), Rob Delaney (\u201cDeadpool 2\u201c),\u00a0 <\/span>Kylie Cantrall (\u201cGabby Duran and the Unsittables\u201d), Ricardo Hurtado (\u201cThe Goldbergs\u201d), Marcus Scribner (\u201cBlack-ish\u201d), Thomas Barbusca (\u201cChad\u201d).<\/b><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/b>The film is directed by Pixar veteran Jean-Philippe Vine (story artist on \u201cCars 3\u201d and \u201cThe Good Dinosaur\u201d) and Locksmith co-founder Sarah Smith (\u201cArthur Christmas\u201d)\u00a0 <\/span>with Octavio Rodriguez (story artist on \u201cCoco\u201d and \u201cThe Incredibles 2\u201d) co-directing.
