{"id":27160,"date":"2024-11-10T21:27:11","date_gmt":"2024-11-11T02:27:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=27160"},"modified":"2024-11-10T22:17:51","modified_gmt":"2024-11-11T03:17:51","slug":"james-camerons-avatar-fire-and-ash-concept-art-revelead","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=27160","title":{"rendered":"James Cameron&#8217;s &#8216;Avatar: Fire and Ash&#8217; Concept Art Revealed"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p class=\"p1\">\u00a9Courtesy of 20 Century Studio\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>Filmmaker <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000116\/\">James Cameron<\/a> made a video appearance at D23 Brazil to talk about the third of his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0499549\/\"><em><strong>Avatar<\/strong> <\/em><\/a>films, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1757678\/\"><strong>Avatar: Fire and Ash<\/strong><\/a>, <\/em>which is scheduled to debut in theaters on December 19, 2025.<br \/><br \/>Cameron, who serves as director, writer, and producer of the <em><strong>Avatar<\/strong> <\/em>franchise, described <em><strong>Fire and Ash<\/strong><\/em> as an &#8220;insane adventure that also has high emotional stakes, more than ever before. We are going into challenging territories. There are new characters, and one you\u2019ll love to hate. New cultures and settings and biomes and more of Pandora.&#8221;<br \/><br \/>Declaring that \u201cwe have a lot of anger and rage in the world we live in right now,\u201d Cameron vowed he\u2019ll be directing the fourth and fifth films in the series unless he\u2019s \u201chit by a bus.\u201d<br \/><br \/>Released toward the end of 2022,<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1630029\/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_7_nm_1_in_0_q_avater%2520\"> <em><strong>Avatar: The Way of Water<\/strong><\/em><\/a> ultimately became the sixth film in history to earn $2 billion at the global box office.<br \/><br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm6613443\/\">Zachary Berger<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm1304499\/\">Dylan Cole<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0582205\/\">Steven Messing<\/a> are among the artists are who contributing illustrations to the upcoming production. One of Cole\u2019s illustrations shows a large crowd of Na\u2019vi and Tulkun people gathering in the sea, resembling an image from <em><strong>The Way of Water<\/strong><\/em>,. Another, by Berger, portrays the new Ne\u2019vi tribe of Ash People and their villages that appear to rest on powdery ashes.<\/p>\r\n<p>Earlier\u00a0 this year, Cameron told Nick Romano in <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/avatar-3-fire-and-ash-title-explained-james-cameron-a-vicious-cycle-exclusive-8694978\"><em>Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a> that &#8220;It took a long time to come up with a title that I felt resonated with what&#8217;s in the film. I don&#8217;t think I could say too much about it until you actually see the film and you see what it means, but if you think of fire as hatred, anger, violence, that sort of thing, and ash is the aftermath \u2014 so what&#8217;s the aftermath? Grief, loss, right? And then what does that cause in the future? More violence, more anger, more hatred. It&#8217;s a vicious cycle.
