Besides Thames and Parker, the film also stars\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=Gerald+Butler\">Gerald Butler<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=nick+frost\">Nick Fros<\/a>t, Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Ruth Codd, Peter Serafinowicz and Murray McArthur.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">On the rugged isle of Berk, where Vikings and\u00a0dragons\u00a0have been bitter enemies for generations, Hiccup (Mason Thames;\u00a0<strong><i>The Black Phone<\/i><\/strong>,\u00a0<strong><i>For All Mankind<\/i><\/strong>) stands apart. The inventive yet overlooked son of Chief Stoick the Vast (Gerard Butler, reprising his voice role from the animated franchise), Hiccup defies centuries of tradition when he befriends Toothless, a feared Night Fury\u00a0dragon. Their unlikely bond reveals the true nature of\u00a0dragons, challenging the very foundations of Viking society.<\/p>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<p class=\"p1\">With the fierce and ambitious Astrid (BAFTA nominee Nico Parker;\u00a0<strong><i>Dumbo<\/i><\/strong>,\u00a0<strong><i>The Last of Us<\/i><\/strong>) and the village\u2019s quirky blacksmith Gobber (Nick Frost;\u00a0<i><strong>Snow White and the Huntsman<\/strong><\/i>,\u00a0<strong><i>Shaun of the Dead<\/i><\/strong>) by his side, Hiccup confronts a world torn by fear and misunderstanding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">As an ancient threat emerges, endangering both Vikings and\u00a0dragons, Hiccup\u2019s friendship with Toothless becomes the key\u00a0to\u00a0forging a new future. Together, they must navigate the delicate path toward peace, soaring beyond the boundaries of their worlds and redefining what it means\u00a0to\u00a0be a hero and a leader.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">DeBlois, who has been involved with the franchise since its launch, wrote and directed the new project. It is based on the 2010 animated film he co-directed with Chris Sanders, which itself was inspired by the book series from author Cressida Cowell.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Serving as producers on the new movie are DeBlois, Marc Platt and Adam Siegel. <strong>The\u00a0<i>How to Train Your Dragon<\/i><\/strong>\u00a0film franchise has earned four Oscar nominations and surpassed $1.6 billion at the global box office. The 2010 animated feature spawned two sequels, with the latest being 2019\u2019s\u00a0<strong><i>How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World<\/i><\/strong>.
