Film Critic Serena Davanzo<\/strong><\/div>\n

Serena Davanzo, a Pennsylvania native, graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a BA in Journalism and a BA in Theatre in December 2022. She currently works full time as a weekend anchor\/producer and MMJ\u2019s weekdays. She aspires to be an entertainment based journalist and actor! She\u2019s loved performing arts and film her whole life and that\u2019s what began her passion for it and striving for a career in it! During college, she was a reporter\/producer for Centre County Report, interned as a\u00a0\u00a0podcast<\/span><\/a>\u00a0editor for two university theatre publications, worked with other student film makers on various projects, and even studied abroad at the Theatre Academy London in London England. She recently had the opportunity to be in the American Pavilion\u2019s Film and Business program at the\u00a0\u00a0Cannes Film Festival<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in May 2023. She is excited to work with CinemaDailyUS!<\/div>\n

In the early 90s, while at the\u00a0\u00a0video<\/span><\/a>\u00a0store with his friends who wanted to rent\u00a0\u00a0Don\u2019t Tell Mom The Babysitter’s Dead<\/span><\/a>, Matthew asked the clerk if they had any copies of Naked Lunch available. A film buff from an early age, he would turn his fascination into his own review site in 2010; Movie Review from Gene Shalit\u2019s Moustache. From there, he provided his voice to such publications as Den of Geek, Coming Soon, and Verbicide magazine as a film reviewer and talent interviewer.<\/div>\n

Wicked : <\/strong>The untold story of the witches of Oz, stars Emmy, Grammy and Tony winning powerhouse Cynthia Erivo (Harriet, Broadway’s The Color Purple) as Elphaba, a young woman, misunderstood because of her unusual green skin, who has yet to discover her true power, and Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artist and global superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman, gilded by privilege and ambition, who has yet to discover her true heart. The two meet as students at Shiz University in the fantastical Land of Oz and forge an unlikely but profound friendship. Following an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads and their lives take very different paths. Glinda’s unflinching desire for popularity sees her seduced by power, while Elphaba’s determination to remain true to herself, and to those around her, will have unexpected and shocking consequences on her future.
