The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences<\/a> has revealed the shortlists for ten different categories for the upcoming Oscars ceremony.<\/p>\n

Emilia P\u00e9rez<\/a> came away with six mentions in total, ranging from makeup to sound to original score to international feature, and two for original songs (“El Mal” and “Mi Camino”). Universal Pictures’ ‘Wicked<\/a>‘ followed the musical, which scored four.<\/p>\n

Preliminary voting encompasses animated short films, documentary films, short films, international films, live action short films, makeup and hairstyling, original scores, songs, sound, and visual effects.<\/p>\n<\/ins>\n

DOCUMENTARY FEATURE FILM<\/u><\/strong>
\nFifteen films will advance in the Documentary Feature Film category for the 97th Academy Awards. One hundred sixty-nine films were eligible in the category. \u00a0Members of the Documentary Branch vote to determine the shortlist and the nominees.<\/p>\n

\nFifteen films will advance to the next round of voting in the International Feature Film category for the 97th Academy Awards. \u00a0Films from 85 countries and regions were eligible in the category.<\/p>\n

Academy members from all branches were invited to participate in the preliminary round of voting and must have met a minimum viewing requirement to be eligible to vote in the category.<\/p>\n

In the nominations round, Academy members from all branches are invited to opt in to participate and must view all 15 shortlisted films to vote.<\/p>\n
