That\u2019s not even to mention the numerous actors who have been nominated for Oscars and other awards for their performances in his films.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One of those actors is Marianne Jean-Baptiste, who received an Oscar nomination in 1997 for her performance in Leigh\u2019s 1996 film, <\/span><b><i>Secrets and Lies<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. 28 years later, they\u2019ve reunited for <\/span><b><i>Hard Truths<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, in which Jean-Baptiste plays Pansy, a Londoner of Jamaican descent who is infinitely unhappy with her life, with her immediate family, and with the world around her.
