She also penned original songs for the film. \u201cI tried to get the Papa Smurf role, but it didn\u2019t work out,\u201d Rihanna joked back in 2023 to tease the new film at the annual exhibitor event CinemaCon.<\/p>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<p class=\"p1\">Here&#8217;s the synopsis : When Papa Smurf (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0000422\/?ref_=fn_all_nme_1\">John Goodman<\/a>) is mysteriously taken by evil wizards, Razamel and Gargamel, Smurfette (Rihanna) leads the Smurfs on a mission into the real world to save him.
