{"id":28768,"date":"2025-02-13T23:05:33","date_gmt":"2025-02-14T04:05:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=28768"},"modified":"2025-02-14T17:25:35","modified_gmt":"2025-02-14T22:25:35","slug":"becoming-led-zeppelin-filmmakers-interview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?p=28768","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Becoming Led Zeppelin\u2019: The Filmmakers Behind the Historic Doc and How It Happened (Video Interview)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In 1968, the band Led Zeppelin seemingly came from out of nowhere, branching out from the Yardbirds with a new line-up that was in the middle of their first North American tour when their first album, simply titled \u201cLed Zeppelin.\u201d Over the next few years, the band would tour constantly, quickly becoming one of the most popular and prolific rock band of the \u201870s.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There\u2019s a lot about the years leading up to the formation of Led Zeppelin that has not been that well documented up until now, so the documentary <\/span><b><i>Becoming Led Zeppelin<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, directed by B<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ernard MacMahon and written and produced along with Allison McGourty, is a welcome addition. Besides new interviews with the three surviving members of the group \u2013 Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones \u2013 the filmmakers also uncovered a rare interview with drummer John \u201cBonzo\u201d Bonham before his untimely death in 1980. The film also features some of the most impressive archival footage of the band playing live, showing that the greatness of the quartet was evident from the first time they played together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Earlier this week, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cinema Daily
