Rob Liefeld<\/a>, the co-creator of “Deadpool<\/strong>“, appears to be taking his dispute with Kevin Feige<\/a> to a higher plane after urging Marvel to break up with the creative chief, just a few days after declaring that he will cut ties with Marvel forever following a prolonged ordeal with the superheroes, Liefeld has commented on the underwhelming box-office performance of “Captain America 4<\/strong><\/a>.”<\/p>\n

Kevin Feige has been targeted again by Rob Liefeld and he wants him to be removed from Marvel. On social media, the well-known comic book creator expressed his thoughts on Feige’s contribution to the unfavourable critical and financial response of “Captain America: Brave New World<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

Rob Liefeld responded to a Twitter thread that pointed out an 82.4% drop in Captain America 4’s domestic box office earnings in its second theatrical weekend, saying, ‘Get Feige off the mound. He’s exhausted.’<\/p>\n<\/ins>\n

Liefeld, who has won global recognition for his work on “Deadpool” with Fabian Nicieza and “Cable” with Louise Simonson, made a previous comment about the Marvel Studios President’s behavior towards creators. He noted, ‘Kevin Feige does not treat comic book creators well. That is my personal experience.’<\/p>\n

At the same time, “Captain America 4<\/strong>” is still experiencing an unexpected drop at the box office. The film experienced a significant drop in ticket sales during its second weekend, professional reviewers have been less favorable to Brave New World, with an average critic score of 49% on Rotten Tomatoes.<\/p>\n

Rob Liefeld has left the entertainment giants, and “Deadpool<\/strong>” Team-Up #5 served as his final goodbye to Marvel Comics<\/p>\n

The veteran writer has announced their departure from the M’s cinema division, leaving “Deadpool and Wolverine<\/strong>” as their last contributions to the M.<\/p>\n

But my take is that I agree that Captain America: Brave New World was not as great as it should have been, but I don’t believe that Kevin Feige leaving Marvel, as Liefeld suggests, is the right move. Feige has demonstrated multiple times that he understands Marvel characters and what audiences desire. The MCU’s TV revamp, which emphasizes multi-season series and formal showrunners, is already addressing the TV side’s shortcomings.<\/p>\n<\/ins>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
