The new documentary <strong>One to One: John and Yoko<\/strong>\u2019s trailer focuses on that time period. Lennon expressed his admiration for Yoko after watching footage of the couple enjoying New York City.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In the following conversation, the musician recounts his legendary 1972 &#8220;One to One&#8221; benefit concert at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msg.com\/madison-square-garden\">Madison Square Garden<\/a>, stating that he facilitated a change in youth apathy by singing and speaking to them.<\/p>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=Kevin+MacDonald\">Kevin MacDonald<\/a>, the director of &#8220;<strong>The Last King of Scotland<\/strong>&#8220;, is behind &#8220;<strong>One to One: John and Yoko<\/strong>&#8220;, a documentary that showcases previously unreleased material and newly restored footage from the concert.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Here\u2019s the official logline: \u201cOn August 30, 1972, in New York City, John Lennon played his only full-length show after leaving The Beatles, the \u2018One to One\u2019 benefit concert at Madison Square Garden, a rollicking, dazzling performance from him and Yoko Ono\u2026 By 1971 the couple was newly arrived in the United States \u2014 living in a tiny apartment in Greenwich Village and watching a huge amount of American television. The film uses a riotous m\u00e9lange of American TV to conjure the era through what the two would have been seeing on the screen: the Vietnam War,\u00a0<i>The Price is Right<\/i>, Nixon, Coca-Cola ads, Cronkite, The Waltons.
