The distribution deal was brokered by John Burnham for Atlas Artists, Kent Sanderson and Avy Eschenasy for Bleecker Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Both films directed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0001661\/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_7_nm_1_in_0_q_Rob%2520Reiner\">Rob Reiner<\/a>, and Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer reprise their roles as the fictional English heavy metal band Spinal Tap in the most recent one. The producers have provided a synopsis for &#8220;<strong>Spinal Tap II: The End Continues<\/strong>&#8220;, which depicts the band reunited after a 15-year break for one final concert. &#8220;<strong>Spinal Tap II: The End Continues<\/strong>&#8221; is set to open in theaters nationwide on Sept. 12, and Reiner will once again portray documentarian Martin &#8216;Marty&#8217; DiBergi, with cameos by Elton John, Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, and Trisha Yearwood.<\/p>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThe opportunity to work with Rob Reiner and the brilliant minds behind the original &#8220;<i><strong>This Is Spinal Tap<\/strong>&#8220;<\/i>,\u00a0and to be part of a film that has resonated with so many,\u201d Andrew Karpen, CEO of Bleecker Street, and Kent Sanderson, president of Bleecker Street, said in a joint statement. \u201c<i>This Is Spinal Tap\u00a0<\/i>isn\u2019t just a movie \u2014 it\u2019s a cultural touchstone that pioneered the mockumentary genre and left an indelible mark on both film and music. Returning to this world through\u00a0<i>Spinal Tap II\u00a0<\/i>is an extraordinary chance to celebrate its legacy while creating something fresh for both new and devoted audiences,\u201d they added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The cast for the sequel includes Paul Shaffer, Fran Drescher, Don Lake, John Michael Higgins, Nina Conti, Griffin Matthews, Kerry Godliman and Chris Addison. Bleecker Street also plans a U.S. theatrical release this summer for the restored edition of &#8220;<i><strong>This Is Spinal Tap<\/strong>&#8220;<\/i>, to be followed by digital and streaming play.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">&#8220;<strong>Spinal Tap II: The End Continues<\/strong>&#8221;\u00a0is produced by Reiner, Michele Reiner and Matthew George and financed by Castle Rock Entertainment.
