At this year’s Cinema Con<\/a>, Warner Bros. has dropped a sneak peek footage from the new “Superman<\/strong>“, “The Guardians of the Galaxy<\/strong>” director and now-CEO of DC Studios, James Gunn<\/a> was at Cinema Con<\/b>\u00a0in Las Vegas on Tuesday along with his cast, including\u00a0David Corenswet\u00a0as the Man of Steel;\u00a0Rachel Brosnahan\u00a0as his girlfriend and intrepid reporter, Lois Lane; and\u00a0Nicholas Hoult\u00a0<\/a>as villainous billionaire Lex Luthor.<\/p>\n

Warner Bros. has announced the release of “Superman<\/strong>“, which is DC Studios’ initial feature film to hit the big screen this summer. James Gunn uses his signature style to take on the original superhero in the newly imagined DC universe with a unique blend of epic action, humor, and heart, resulting in a Superman who is driven by compassion and an inherent belief in the goodness of mankind.<\/p>\n

The video’s main focus is on a severely injured Superman (David Corenswet) pleading with his dog, Krypto, to bring him home as he is incapable of walking or flying.<\/p>\n<\/ins>\n

Despite the fact that Superman will definitely be beaten to almost death in James Gunn’s upcoming DC Studios feature, the movie’s latest trailer highlights how the Man of Steel is reassembled.<\/p>\n

According to the interview with Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, when he asked about his inspiration of this film, Jame Gunn said, \u00a0I would say it’s an original story, but the tone and the look of the film, in many ways, is inspired by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s All-Star Superman<\/i>. But if I wrote my own story, then I could just rip off their look. No, I’m kidding. They’re really great guys, and they’re incredibly talented artists. And I read that comic book, and it really has this feeling of the big, old-school, science-fiction Silver Age comics. We have robots and monster babies and giant kaiju and all of that stuff. But that is also grounded around these incredibly real relationships with a couple that has started dating a few months ago, and now they’re really learning the ins and outs of each other. What’s good about them? What’s not so good about them? And what are their ideals like? We have Lois Lane, who’s a pragmatist, and Superman is an idealist, and how does that work together? My wife and I are like that, actually\u201d.<\/p>\n

The trailer also showcases more detailed images of Lois Lane (Rachel Brosnahan), Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult), Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced), Mister Terrific (Edi Gathegi), Metamorpho (Anthony Carrigan), and Guy Gardner (Nathan Fillion).<\/p>\n
