Jeff Bridges<\/a> has stated that he is open to making a sequel to “The Big Lebowski<\/strong><\/a>“, which led him to play one of his most beloved characters in his career.<\/p>\n

Bridges, who played The Dude in the 1998 Cohen Brothers thriller, addressed the audience after a showing of the original movie at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Bridges was asked by The Daily Mail<\/a> about the possibility of revisiting the role that made him famous, and he replied that he and his original co-star Julianne Moore shared the same opinion. \u201cOf course. Julianne and I would fantasize about that. We did another movie together, \u201cSeventh Son<\/strong>\u201d, she played a witch in that movie. And we would often say, \u2018Gee it\u2019s all set up for a sequel.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

But he added, though, he thought the prospect of the Coens wanting to return to the subject matter was unlikely:\u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t think the brothers are going to do that. I don\u2019t think that\u2019s their style. But I must say, they surprise us all the time\u2026 If they called me up and said, \u2018Hey let\u2019s do it again,\u2019 I\u2019d say, \u2018Absolutely, come on.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/ins>\n

Jeffrey ‘The Dude’ Lebowski, a slacker and enthusiastic bowler, is a victim of mistaken identification in this beloved thriller. Besides Bridges and Moore, the original cast included John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, David Huddleston, John Turturro, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Tara Reid, David Thewlis, Peter Stormare, Jon Polito, and Ben Gazzara.<\/p>\n

The original film made a relatively small box office of $46.7million on its release, but has become an enduring fan favorite, with its eccentric characters, unique dialogue and memorable soundtrack and Lebowski Fest.<\/p>\n

But the siblings haven\u2019t made a movie together since 2018\u2019s \u201cThe Ballad of Buster Scruggs<\/strong>.\u201d They\u2019ve also never made a sequel to anything in their shared filmography, which includes \u201cBlood Simple<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cRaising Arizona<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cFargo<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cNo Country for Old Men<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cTrue Grit<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Their solo projects include 2021\u2019s \u201cThe Tragedy of Macbeth<\/strong>\u201d(Joel Coen) and 2024\u2019s \u201cDrive-Away Dolls<\/strong>\u201d(Ethan Coen).<\/p>\n
