Chu\u2019s Film Adaptation of &#8220;Split Fiction&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">\u00a9Courtesy of &#8220;Euphoria&#8221;, HBO<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/film\/news\/split-fiction-movie-sydney-sweeney-jon-m-chu-video-game-1236377192\/\">Variety<\/a> reports that <a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=sydney+sweeney\">Sydney Sweeney<\/a> is set to appear in a film adaptation of &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Split_Fiction\"><strong>Split Fiction<\/strong><\/a>&#8220;, with<a href=\"https:\/\/cinemadailyus.com\/?s=Jon+M.+Chu\"> Jon M. Chu<\/a> directing. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, who wrote the script for Deadpool and Wolverine, are in charge of writing the script for the movie.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Mike Goldberg and Dmitri M. Johnson&#8217;s Story Kitchen (formerly DJ2 Entertainment) will be in charge of producing the &#8220;<strong>Split Fiction<\/strong>&#8221; film, which is now being sent to studios, and Chu&#8217;s Electric Somewhere. Sweeney is expected to be the executive producer<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Split Fiction is a 2025 action-adventure game developed by Hazelight Studios and published by Electronic Arts. As a cooperative multiplayer-only game, it follows authors Mio Hudson and Zoe Foster after they become imprisoned in the world of their stories when they are connected to a machine designed to steal creative ideas.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1774669342741533\" data-ad-slot=\"1211148813\" data-ad-format=\"auto\" data-full-width-responsive=\"true\"><\/ins>\n<p class=\"p2\">Split Fiction was released for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X\/S on March 6, 2025, and is set to be released on Nintendo Switch 2 on June 5. The game received critical acclaim and sold over 2 million units in its first week after release.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2025\/film\/news\/split-fiction-movie-video-game-adaptation-1236344367\/\"><i>Variety<\/i><\/a> first reported the &#8220;Split Fiction&#8221; film was in the works, and attracting top Hollywood studios for a bidding war, during the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco in March.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The film is a follow-up to Sweeney&#8217;s previous project, and the second video game adaptation. A movie adaptation of the Sega video game franchise OutRun is being developed by the Euphoria star and Michael Bay.
