Warner Brothers<\/a> released the initial trailer for “Weapons<\/strong><\/a>“, promising a terrifying movie about children who run away. The upcoming horror film, which is written and directed by Zach Cregger<\/a>, is said to be based on a series of interconnected stories surrounding the disappearance of children in the small town of Maybrook.<\/p>\n

The teaser maintains the mystery around the movie by displaying a group of children leaving their homes at 2:17am before they unite and race across a front yard into the night. Although Brolin is not present on-screen, he appears to be a part of the voice-over for the trailer, pondering why these kids are running away without any signs of stress.<\/p>\n<\/ins>\n

The latest “Weapons<\/strong>” teaser trailer does not disclose the reason or individuals behind these children’s departure from their homes at midnight, and it’s likely that viewers will need to watch the film to find out.<\/p>\n

The teaser also ends with text that encourages those looking for more information to visit\u00a0MaybrookMissing.com<\/a>, an in-universe website that features additional footage of children running away from home.<\/p>\n

The film stars Josh Brolin<\/a>, Julia Garner<\/a>, Benedict Wong, Alden Ehrenreich, and Austin Abrams. Marketing has been cautious about revealing too much about what’s to come from the mysterious project. Cregger, Roy Lee, J.D. Lifshitz, Raphael Margules and Miri Yoon serve as producers.<\/p>\n

Cregger’s spec script for “Weapons<\/strong>” was won by New Line in a fierce bidding war in early 2023, with eight figures reportedly securing the filmmaker’s role as writer and director.
